More and More and even More pics

Oh my goodness, I've been adding pics to the gallery. I decided to start adding the MQs first so I can get to fill all albums and place a small pic of every artist in its respective category to be easy to find them. Problem is that i managed to add all names I could and there are over 500 categories and growing! lol
Don't worry, I'm working a lot to get this done as fast as possible, so there will always be more and more pics added everyday, just keep checking the Last Additions link to see what's new. wink

Really. Hard work.

Actor Van Johnson dies at 92

US film, stage and TV actor Van Johnson, best known for his roles in The Pied Piper of Hamelin and the Batman TV series, has died. He was 92.
As per Johnson’s friend Wendy Bleisweiss, he died on Friday at an assisted living centre in Nyack, New York.
Van Johnson was very much loved for his roles in The Caine Mutiny and Brigadoon. His film and stage career spanned more than 20 years, starting from the 1940s and stretching to the 1960s. In 1985, he made a comeback by touring with the Broadway musical La Cage Aux Folles.
He was mostly cast as an all-American boy because of the kind of physical appearance he had. Johnson was tall and athletic with freckles and red hair.
Van Johnson was born on August 16, 1916 in Newport, R.I. It was in 1936 that he kickstarted his acting career in the Broadway revue New Faces of 1936. During his career, he worked with all the main female performers which included the likes of Taylor, Janet Leigh, Gracie Fields, Esther Williams and June Allyson.

New volume examines Brando’s career impact

From the first moment he appeared on screen in his early films Marlon Brando was a sensation. His performances weren’t simply those of a gifted individual playing a role but a charismatic figure able to take audiences inside situations and characters in ways that were unique and uncanny.
Author, journalist and critic Stefan Kanfer’s new book Somebody: The Reckless Life and Remarkable Career of Marlon Brano (Knopf) profiles the extraordinary and controversial performer and exposes an amazing contradiction.
Despite his greatness, Brando despised acting and regularly expressed that sentiment publicly and privately. He frequently became depressed because not only was he succeeding in a field he didn’t respect, but he couldn’t do anything else. Thus one of Hollywood’s most distinguished and outstanding careers was fueled more by anger, despair and frustration than idealism or creativity.
